Freshly prepared meals at Marco
Breakfast is shared in our dining room, as part of the fun of bed and breakfasting is the opportunity to meet a variety of people from around the world and to share your experiences with them.
Our Breakfast Menu is wide and varied to give you the chance to decide on your own breakfast.
There is always a range of fresh fruit, fruit juices and cereals available, and you can follow this with either, a full traditional cooked or continental breakfast or select from our local Carbost free range egg menu.
Christine is famed for her breakfasts, especially her Porridge, home made-bread and cakes. Or if you have had enough of the Traditional Scottish Breakfast why not try Christine’s unique Healthy Option Breakfast.
We also offer a full Gluten-Free menu, as well as vegetarian options and will always try to cater for all dietary needs with prior notice.
If you need an early start, we are always happy to provide a packed breakfast at no extra cost.
We can provide you with a packed lunch for your day trips out.
So whether you are driving, walking, cycling, kayaking or whale watching, you can save the trip to the supermarket so you can have more time for The Misty Isles’ many delights!
Fresh Local Produce
All of our food is locally sourced wherever possible and cooked to order.
All ingredients are freshly prepared and are grilled, steamed or boiled – we do not serve fried food, fast or otherwise!
Eating Out: Restaurants on Skye
There is an excellent choice of pubs serving meals, to complement the many excellent restaurants on the Isle of Skye.
Pub meals are served at The Old Inn at Carbost [one mile from Marsco] and at the Taigh Ailean Hotel in Portnalong [four miles away].
Other establishments can be found slightly further afield in Portree [16 miles away], Dunvegan [19 miles away], and Broadford [24 miles from our B&B].
The Isle of Skye has many other restaurants for you to try, including the Stein on the Waternish peninsula, the Ullinish Lodge Hotel near Struan, and the famous Three Chimneys restaurant – ideal for a really special occasion – at Colbost, near Dunvegan.
