Things to do on the Isle of Skye
There are three Glens and Lochs within a few minutes drive of Marsco Bed and Breakfast.
Pictured right - Glen Brittle and the Cuillin Mountain Range - 'All this for free!'
As you drive down into Glen Brittle your attention will increasingly be drawn to the ever more striking mass of the Cuillin Hills ahead of you.
This ferocious range of mountains, by far the most challenging to climb in Scotland, have a jagged greyness that seems completely out of place in its green island setting.
At the southern end of Glen Brittle, the River Brittle flows into Loch Brittle. There is an excellent beach here - dark sand that reflects perfectly the dark grey of the mountains above.
Carrying the waters of the River Eynort, Glen Eynort runs into Loch Eynort, on the western coastline of the Minginish district of the island of Skye. Here, there are forest and coastal walks and there is an abundance of wildlife.
Talisker Bay lies to the west of the settlement of the same name. The River Talisker empties into the Sea of the Hebrides at Talisker. There is a spectacular walk from here over the cliff top to Fiskavaig.
